While still up for debate, Schlitzie (The Pinhead) was born in the Bronx on Sept. 10, 1901 (d. Sept. 24, 1971) as Simon Metz. Schlitzie. He was born with the medical condition microcephaly, and was an American sideshow performer.

Microcephaly is a condition that is characterized by an extremely small brain and cranium as well as a small stature. Many times, microcephaly results in intellectual disabilities. It is said that Schlitzie’s intellectual functioning was that of a three- or four-year-old and that he stood about four feet tall.read more
Anatoly Moskvin is a twisted grave-robber responsible for possessing 26 female mummified bodies. In 2011, the corpses of young girls between ages 3 and 15 were found at his home in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. Many sources say Moskvin is believed to have exhumed 150 corpses.

After Moskvin exhumed the corpses, he would begin the mummification process. According to Moskvin, over the course of ten years, he tried to make the mummified bodies look like dolls (which actually looked more like strange-looking mannequins). He took extreme measures to reach his goal, as he placed a music box inside their rib cages. The limbs were wrapped in strips of cloth, and the bodies were stuffed with rags and padding. Amazingly, since 1930, La Pascualita (or Little Pascuala) has been standing at a store window in a wedding gown shop in Chihuahua, Mexico. People from all around the world have traveled many miles to visit the shop just to see her. Why would anyone actually care to see a lifeless mannequin? Well, according to legend, La Pascualita is not a dummy, but a well-preserved mummy. They believe she is the perfectly preserved corpse of the previous owner’s daughter.
