From a professional farter, to a man who hasn’t even bothered to bathe in the last 60 years, these people are in a dirty world of their own. Just when you thought you’ve seen it all, along comes five of the grossest people on Earth. Let’s start with the man who gets paid to let out his stinky farts.

#1 The Professional Farter

A flatulist (also called fartist and professional farter) is one who gets paid to entertain people with farts in a creative, musical or amusing manner. They are often considered comedians. Scattered references point to ancient and medieval flatulists who were capable of producing a variety of rhythms and pitches with their farts. So, if you love to break wind, this may be the job for you.

Today, there is only one man who claims to be a professional farter. Paul Oldfield (stage name Mr. Methane) Oldfield was born in Macclesfield, Cheshire, North West England. He is currently a British flatulist and has been performing on stage since 1991. Although he briefly retired back in 2006, he went back at it in mid-2007. Oldfield has been featured and mentioned in books. He also has a DVD called “Mr Methane Lets Rip!” See him in action as he demonstrates his fart talent. Hilarious!

Joseph Pujol: The Professional Farter Who Could Fart At Will

Joseph Pujol (June 1, 1857 – 1945) once had the stage name “Le Pétomane”. He was a professional flatulist in France at the start of the 20th century. His unique ability made him famous. Pujol was able to remarkably control his abdominal muscles. His unbelievable control supposedly enabled him to fart at will. Surprisingly, during Pujol’s stage performances, he didn’t actually pass intestinal gas. Instead, he had the ability to move (or inhale) air into his rectum and then control the release of that air using his anal sphincter muscles (a ring of muscle that will contract to close an opening).

#2 The Politician Who Got Caught Picking And Eating His Earwax

José Antonio Garcia, Jr. (known as Joe Garcia) was born on October 12, 1963. He is the former U.S Representative for Florida’s 26th congressional district. After his defeat for re-election in 2014, he eventually left office on January 3, 2015. Below is a funny video of him doing a gross act in public.

Although Garcia was being filmed and watched by many, he not only picked his ears, but even ate his earwax. This is something you would catch a child doing. Unfortunately, for Garcia, the below video has been viewed over 2 million times (as of this writing). But if he regularly eats his earwax, he could be regularly boosting up his immune system. That is because earwax can provide some protection from bacteria, fungi, insects and water. Garcia should just find another place to pick.

#3 The Guy Who Got His Nose Professionally Picked

You’ve probably heard about people who have professional had their ears clean. According to The Wall Street Journal, around 12 million Americans visit professionals annually to remove their earwax. But what if you wanted some assistance removing mucus from your nose? Well, meet the man in the video above. He went out of his way to seek professional nose-picking assistance.

No matter how bad your nose is stuffed, you would think you could eventually find a way to dig it all out on your own. Instead, you seek professional help. Really? But if you look at the size of this guy’s booger ball, it may be a little more understandable than if it was just an average amount.

#4 The World’s Most Smelliest Man?

Guru Kailash Singh is a 65-year-old man who could be the smelliest man in the world. Singh has refused to wash for over 38 years. He hasn’t bothered to bathe nor cut his 6ft-long dreadlocks since the year 1974 (not long after he married). So why make such a crazy decision like this? Singh blames his decision on a priest. He claimed that the priest had guaranteed him a son if he was to follow the advice given. Regardless of Singh’s strong desire to have his own little boy, he still has seven daughters and no sons. His so-called justification for not bathing made no difference at all.

Singh has a rather unique daily routine. He spends his days tending to cows in scorching hot weather. So you know he definitely lets out a good amount of sweat. The only type of cleansing he will allow himself to participate in is a fire bath. Every evening he takes a fire bath which involves three things: smoking marijuana, praying to the Hindu Lord Shiva and dancing around a bonfire. His daily so-called cleansing could never make up for not bathing or even using a bar of soap.

So what does Singh’s wife think about all of this? Singh’s wife (including other family members) has tried to force him to shower, but he adamantly refused. He said he would rather die than take a bath. The only thing that could change his mind, is the birth of his son. Not only does this make his wife unhappy, but it also made her threaten to stop sleeping with him if he did not take a bath. Despite her serious threat, Singh says he has gotten used to not bathing in the last few decades. Since his wife’s threat, she gave in to him stating she would be loyal and just deal with his smell.

Singh often gets laughed at by children and even adults around the neighborhood. Despite him being laughed at and even threatened by his wife, he claims it is god’s choice. He claims that since he has no son, he will never shower again. He pointed out that he may wash when he’s born again.

#5 Meet The Man Who Hasn’t Bathed In 60 Years

Meet the 80-year-old Iranian named Amou Haji. He is called “the world’s dirtiest man“. The man says he hasn’t bathed in 60 years! Haji says he adopted his bizarre lifestyle of isolation because he was going through emotional setbacks in his younger years. Read about some of the extremely unconventional things he does on a daily or weekly basis. You can definitely say he is a frugal man.

What Amou Haji Prefers

For smoking: Instead of tobacco, Haji will fill his pipe up with animal poop. He also likes to smoke cigarettes (with no poop). That is, five at at time!

For grooming: When it is time to groom, he uses a car mirror.

Diet Preference: Even his diet is bizarre. He prefers to eat the rotten meat of dead animals. His water comes from a rusty oil can.

How he cuts his hair: It is simple. He just burns it with fire.

Choice of daily clothing: He prefers to wear rags. In the winter time, he wears a war helmet to help keep him warmer.

Haji currently holds the record for longest time without a shower. Kailash Singh (previously mentioned) comes in second place for not bathing over 38 years. So is there any hope for Haji? Probably not. He even had a group of young men offer to give him a shower. Instead of taking their offer,  Haji choice to escape. Even after 60 years, Haji says that even the thought of taking a bath makes him angry. Today, he has two places where he chooses to sleep at night. One is a hole in the ground (similar to a grave). The second, is an open brick shack. The shack was built by locals that were concerned about his well-being. Fortunately, he has people who are looking after him.

Although you can see that regardless of their different way of life, most seem fairly happy.
