Was The Show Cancelled?
Oddities was a reality television program that aired on the Science Channel for 5 seasons. There has not seen a single episode since the last show of Season 5, which aired on April 27, 2014.
Will Season 6 Ever Be Released?
If you are a fan of the show, you are probably wondering what happened to it. Based on our research, there have only been 2 episodes made for Season 6. Unfortunately, at this time, none are available online (free or paid). We couldn’t find any information on whether they will be making more episodes any time soon. It doesn’t make any sense to create just 2 episodes for the entire season. However, as soon as we get new information, we will update this article.
So was the show cancelled? We did quite a bit of research on this question:
Only one source confirms the show has been cancelled and will not be returning for a sixth season. However, the source does not provide any credible links to confirm their claim.
If you check Yahoo Answers, you don’t get much information (other than people saying there has yet to be an announcement) there either.
Our Attempt To Get The Answer Straight From The Source
Since we couldn’t find much information on the future of the Oddities show, we decided to reach out to Obscura Antiques & Oddities in Manhattan. Although we did not get a response to our emails, fortunately we were able to reach them by phone.
We asked them if they had any information on the show returning. The gentlemen said they would like the show to be aired again. However, after 5 years since the last episode aired, they still have not heard anything on when or if it will ever come back.
Update (5-15-20): On May 15, 2020, we tried to contact Obscura. Unfortunately, we got an answering machine saying the store is now permanently closed.
On the same day, we posted the update to a Facebook group called Unusual Antiques and Oddities.
That’s when we heard back from Mike Zohn himself.
“The show ended due to major changes at the network. The show aired 74 episodes over 5 seasons and was shown worldwide in at least 6 languages. It was the top rated show on Science Channel and can still be seen on Amazon Prime as well as the Science Channel app,” Zohn said to Facebook fans.
Zohn also went on to say that despite the store being closed, they are still in business.
He added: “The shop is closed but we are still in business. The shop phone number is still active and I check the messages. I’m also selling on my fb page and the IG page too in addition to the Oddities Market events I put on. Our website is also still active. Www.ShopObscuraAntiques.com.”

The television show has even caught the interest of celebrities such as Jonathan Davis from Korn, actor Matthew Gray Gubler, and artist Cynthia von Buhler.
What Types Of Products Do You Find At Obscura?

Some of Obscura’s items include odd taxidermy animals, mummified animals, art made from body parts (such as nail clippings), medical oddities and a lot more.
