This is a post that is filled with many cool pictures of skeletons from a variety of sources. We have gathered some images of not just humans, but also animal skeletons. The Last Judgment Fresco By Michelangelo
The Last Judgement is a fresco (by Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni) completed on the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel (the official residence of the Pope, located in Vatican City). It is a depiction of the Second Coming of Christ and the last judgment by God. The project took a total of 4 years to complete (between 1536 and 1541). Between 1980 and 1994, the fresco was restored.

The “Sozopol Vampire” Skeleton

The image above shows a skeleton that was found pierced through the chest with a ploughshare (or plowshare) . It was found in the Bulgarian Black Sea town of Sozopol. It is believed to be a man from the 13th or 14th century. Shortly after the amazing find, he became known as the Sozopol vampire skeleton. This is one of two skeletons found with iron rods pierced through the chest.
The man who roamed the Earth during the Middle Ages, was once thought to be a real vampire. He was pierced to his grave to prevent him from leaving at midnight and terrorizing the living.
A Burial At Varna Necropolis

Varna Necropolis is a burial site in Varna, Bulgaria. It was accidentally discovered by an excavator operator named Raycho Marinov. The archaeological site contains some of the world’s oldest gold jewelry (some dating from 4,600 BC to 4,200 BC). So far, a total of 294 graves have been found.
